• Treasurers Report (Rick Young). 13 Registered members - same as last month. Art asks about Astronomical League, and Rick reports that's in the works.

• Star Parties.
  • March 24 is Moonlight Stroll at Erna Nixon.Great opportunity to raise the excitement level for astronomy in the community! Bring your telescope if you have one and can come out.
  • April 21st is Astronomy Day at BCC. 1pm to late! Last year they had about 480 people, and this year they're giving away 2-3 telescopes, perhaps by raffle.
  • YMCA event by BAS last weekend. About 500 kids and parents! About 5 telescopes.
  • May 12 is Star Party at Harmony
  • April 14 Chiefland Star Party in honor of one of the founders of Chiefland - recently deceased.
• SAS News: Peter helped clean up the 16" mirror. Some spots remain on primary, but secondary is perfect. Lunar eclipse star party was clouded out, so the participants watched on the web. Still working on model solar system project. About $1600 for the total project - seeking school funding.
• Old Business:
  • This is the Annual Meeting. Art thanks the outgoing board for their work in the previous year. Nominees for officer positions are: Peter Scheuter, Pres, Kerri Salvador, VP, Rick Young, Treasurer, Matt Wood, Secretary, Don Schumacher, SAS Board Member at Large.
