• Approval of minutes
• Treasurer report: No new members. We're now listed with the Astronomical League (member 7714). Rick Young is the point of contact with them. The website is www.astroleague.org, and they have several "observing clubs" for various kinds of observing that you might be interested in.
• Rick reports that there was an attempt at a star party on Oct 13, but it was cloudy
• Nov 3 is FIT President's Picnic, Gary Scott will bring a solar telescope with an H-alpha filter.
• John reports that the Harmony Dark Sky Festival will be in April 2008.
• Rick reports that Nov 10 there will be another club gathering at Johns
• Nov 18 will be Midnight Stroll at Erna Nixon Park.
• Nov 3 (6-9) the BAS is having a star party at a school in Rockledge.
• Peter went to a star party 3 weeks ago at White Sands, NM. About 300 people.
• SAS President's report:
  • Working on Campus model solar system project
  • Took 4" telescope from donation to BSO, for SAS use.
  • Working on 16" Newtonian, need another counter weight, and drive needs tuning.
  • Will request some secondary funding for misc supplies
  • Comet LONEOS (disc Mar 19)
  • Rocket launches coming up
